Asbestos Awareness Course

Asbestos Awareness Course from HireSafe SolutionsAsbestos is one of the most dangerous substances you can find on a building site, and so it’s essential that you keep your employees safe by enrolling them on a quality Asbestos Awareness course – such as the one offered by HireSafe Solutions. Our Asbestos Awareness courses ensure that you and your team have the skills and knowledge to safely work in environments that may contain the material without risk to yourselves or to others. Indeed, achieving an asbestos awareness certificate is the lowest level of workplace requirement according to the UK’s Health and Safety Executive (HSE) Control of Asbestos regulations.

So what does Asbestos Awareness training provide? The course aims to provide both employees and employers with the information needed to ensure that they avoid work that may disturb asbestos during workplace activities. Including asbestos material found in the structure of buildings or any other asbestos containing environments. It does not provide the necessary qualifications to work with or knowingly disturb asbestos – such work requires further industry qualifications including Non-Licensable/Licensable Work with Asbestos certificates.

During your Asbestos Awareness training course, you will learn the properties of asbestos and the associated health risks, including an increased risk of lung cancer developing in those who smoke. You will also learn about the various types of asbestos as well as their common uses and likely occurrence. We will also provide instruction and training on the proper emergency procedures related to people being exposed to asbestos due to an uncontrolled release of dust. Finally, and most importantly, we’ll teach you and your staff how to minimise the risk of exposure to asbestos – helping keep you and your workers safe.

As an asbestos training provider, our training courses are recognised by UKATA; the United Kingdom Asbestos Training Association. This means that you can be sure that our teaching and assessment systems are appropriate and meet the requirements laid down by the HSE’s Control of Asbestos Regulations and the supporting Approved Code of Practice. Our training staff are highly knowledgeable, qualified and experienced in identifying and working with asbestos materials, meaning that you’ll be learning from some of the best instructors in the construction industry.
