The old saying ‘prevention is better than cure’ has never been more relevant than it is when working at height. When things go wrong, people suffer injuries and they can sometimes be fatal. So, being ahead of the game is literally a matter of life and death. You must assess your risks accurately and change your assessment as soon as new information becomes available. You must also always prepare both people and equipment thoroughly and never, ever cut corners on safety procedures whatever machine you’re operating, whether it’s the Genie ZX135/70, JLG 1250AJP, or anything in between.
