Hire Safe Solutions Recognised Again at Birmingham Children’s Hospital’s 100 Heroes Celebration 2026

We were incredibly proud to return to the iconic Library of Birmingham on Sunday 22nd March for Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity’s annual 100 Heroes celebration – an event dedicated to recognising the individuals and organisations who have gone above and beyond in their fundraising efforts over the past year.

The event brings together the charity’s top supporters to celebrate the collective impact made in helping transform the lives of seriously ill children and their families. This year’s milestone was particularly special, with attendees contributing to a phenomenal £4.2 million raised over the last 12 months – the highest total ever achieved through the 100 Heroes initiative!

From Red to Silver — and Aiming for Gold

After being awarded a red balloon in 2025, we were delighted to see our continued fundraising efforts recognised with an upgraded silver balloon this year – a fantastic achievement for everyone involved across Hire Safe Solutions and our wider network of supporters.

The commemorative balloons will once again be proudly displayed in Waterfall House throughout the year, serving as a visible reminder of the collective effort behind the fundraising and the real difference it makes to patients and families supported by the hospital.

Now, the target is clear… gold balloon status in 2027!

Supporting an Incredible Cause

Our partnership with Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity remains something we are extremely passionate about. The funds raised help support life-changing projects, ground-breaking treatments, and vital services that improve both care and quality of life for children and their families during incredibly challenging times.

Every fundraising challenge, event, and donation plays a part in helping the charity continue its outstanding work.

A Memorable Highlight

Alongside the celebrations, there was also a personal highlight for our HR Manager, Pippa who had the pleasure of meeting Athena from Gladiators, one of the charity’s ambassadors. It’s safe to say this was a particular hit at home when the photo was shown to her kids!

Looking Ahead

We’re hugely grateful to everyone who has supported our fundraising efforts over the past year – from colleagues and customers to partners and friends who continue to get behind our events and challenges.

With more fundraising initiatives already planned, we’re excited to continue supporting Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity and playing our part in making a meaningful difference.
