IPAF Training Courses

IPAF Training Courses from HireSafe SolutionsGet accredited with HireSafe Solutions’ wide range of IPAF training courses (International Powered Access Federation) available at competitive prices.

The IPAF training scheme is one of the most comprehensive platform operator safety courses in the industry; offering recognised health and safety assessment and certification for the operation of mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs). More than 100,000 IPAF operators are successfully trained each year at one of the many IPAF training centres around the globe. On completing the course, candidates will have an understanding and awareness of accident prevention, safe operation and on-site responsibilities while working with MEWP equipment and will receive an IPAF PAL Card (Powered Access Licence) along with a safety guide, log book and a certificate of completion.

Our IPAF training courses cover the use of a wide range of powered platforms and equipment; including certificates for static boom use as well as scissor lifts, mobile booms and mobile vertical booms to name just a few. These courses are suitable for candidates from all experience levels; from novices who need to learn it all, to experienced workers who need a quick refresher.

While learning how to safely operate a MEWP is essential, it’s also important to remember that there’s more to safety and risk minimisation than just the machines in question. This is why HireSafe Solutions offers approved IPAF harness safety training courses alongside our machine based certificates. These classes provide practical training in proper harness use in a classroom environment so that, when on-site, you can be sure that you and your team stay safe when operating at height.

HireSafe also offer IPAF Competent Assessed Person (CAP) training. This qualification compliments the IPAF operator training by extending the IPAF safety philosophy to machine maintenance and operation; this is an ideal course for those looking to extend their working knowledge and expand their skill set. Successful CAP assessment provides candidates with certification allowing them to plan, manage or carry out thorough examinations of platforms in the eyes of current legislation, including the Work at Height Regulations, LOLER and PUWER 98.

At HireSafe, we know that you’d rather you and your team were on-site instead of somewhere else doing a course – that’s why we offer our classes on a flexible basis. Not only do we offer weekend and evening classes, but, if required, our instructors and demonstrators can come to you and train your team on-location. This allows us to offer real practical training in a working construction environment, alongside the theory portion of the course.

If you’d rather train off-site, then we have training centres across the UK and Ireland, staffed by our expert and experienced instructors. To learn more about our IPAF offerings visit our course list and book your IPAF training with HireSafe Solutions today.
